MEMORIAL PARK
- GRANITE FALLS, MN -

Just south of Granite Falls stands an outcropping of what is claimed to be the oldest exposed rock in the world, formed nearly 4 billion years ago.

Chunks of this granite were blasted away in the early 1900’s to build Highway 23, which connects Duluth to the southwest corner of Minnesota.

We used a select few of these huge pieces of granite to create two stair sets, connecting Memorial Park to nearby historic pioneer dwellings and downtown Granite Falls.
